Mohammed Assaf

Mohammed Assaf is a Palestinian singer who won the title of “Arab Idol” in its second season in 2013. Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama who was a member of the “Arab Idol” judging panel at the time aptly nicknamed Assaf “The Rocket.” Throughout his artistic career, Muhammad Assaf released a number of albums and performed at many big events and festivals. He was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. Assaf was also appointed as an Ambassador for Culture and Arts by the Palestinian government, in addition to his assuming a diplomatic position bestowed upon him by the President of the Palestinian Authority.
